The individual who lost his life in a shooting incident as a party was concluding at an apartment in Fresno early Saturday morning has been named by the Fresno Police Department.

According to law enforcement officials, at approximately 3 a.m., they were dispatched to an apartment located near 9th Street and Olive Avenue following a report of a disturbance that escalated into a shooting.
During their inquiry, police indicated that a gathering occurring in an apartment unit had exceeded capacity and was becoming unruly, prompting the host to request that all attendees vacate the premises.
As individuals were exiting and moving into the shared area, police reported that a confrontation erupted, which involved 22-year-old Jordan Abuchon. When one of Abuchon’s companions attempted to separate him from the altercation, gunfire erupted, resulting in both individuals being hit.
Investigators revealed that Abuchon was discovered unresponsive and was subsequently transported to a nearby hospital alongside his friend, who also suffered gunshot wounds. His friend’s injuries were determined to be non-life-threatening. Unfortunately, Abuchon succumbed to his injuries.
No arrests have been made in connection with this incident.
