Gared Goff Obituary-Death News; Austin Police Identify Victim In Fatal Downtown Shooting, Suspect Remains At Large

The Austin Police Department has confirmed the identity of the individual who was shot and killed at a bus stop in downtown Austin.

Austin police responded to shooting reports shortly after 8:30 a.m. on November 12 at the intersection of E. 5th Street and Trinity Street.

Upon the arrival of first responders, they discovered 52-year-old Gared Goff lying on the ground. He was declared dead at the scene at 8:50 a.m.

An initial investigation revealed that he was hit by gunfire from an assailant who subsequently fled the location.

The Austin Police Department has not disclosed any information regarding the suspect.
