A 17-year-old Dublin girl was killed and four others were injured Sunday evening in a two-vehicle crash on Hyland Croy Road, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

Troopers said the crash occurred around 7:24 p.m. near Johnston Drive, when a northbound 2016 Kia Forte driven by Claudia Phan, 17, traveled left of center and struck a southbound 2017 Ford Explorer. The SUV was driven by Jason Lyle, 37, of Lewis Center.
Both vehicles veered off the right side of the roadway after the impact.
Phan suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene by the Union County Coroner’s Office.
Lyle was taken by ground ambulance to Riverside Methodist Hospital with serious injuries. His wife, 34-year-old Ashley Lyle, who was riding in the front passenger seat, was transported to the same hospital with minor injuries.
Two juvenile passengers in the Ford Explorer were taken to Nationwide Children’s Hospital, also with minor injuries, troopers said.
The crash prompted a multi-agency emergency response, including the Jerome Township, Pleasant Valley, and Norwich Township fire departments, Northwest Towing and Recovery, and the Union County Coroner’s Office.
The Marysville Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is leading the investigation, which remains ongoing.
