Prosecutors allege that a man from Milwaukee fatally shot his tenant earlier this month and subsequently murdered a woman who witnessed the incident.

Kevin Duane Griffin, aged 54, is facing charges of first-degree intentional homicide with a dangerous weapon, first-degree reckless homicide with a dangerous weapon, and possession of a firearm as a convicted felon.
During his initial court appearance on November 16, Court Commissioner Maria S. Dorsey set Griffin’s bond at $500,000, according to online court records. He is scheduled to return to court on November 26 for a preliminary hearing.
It remains unclear whether Griffin has legal representation.
In a criminal complaint dated November 15, prosecutors state that Griffin confessed to first shooting a man he was attempting to evict from a residence on the 4000 block of North 12th Street on November 4. The family has identified the victim as Terrance Wilder, aged 39.
Griffin informed investigators that he also fatally shot A’nya Raymond, aged 31, and subsequently disposed of her body in an alley.
Prosecutors believe that Raymond’s child may have witnessed his mother’s murder and was left to wander the streets alone. Authorities later discovered the boy, abandoned and dressed in blood-stained clothing.
“I just received the most devastating news any parent could hear. That my grandson was found wandering the streets without shoes, and that my daughter was discovered shot dead and left in an alley,” Misty Raymond, A’nya Raymond’s mother, expressed in a post on GoFundMe.com dated November 6. “My heart and mind are burdened with profound grief.”
