The 11-year-old boy who was killed in an alleged road rage incident on a freeway in Henderson has been identified.
According to the Clark County Coroner’s Office, Brandon Dominguez-Chavarria, a resident of Henderson, succumbed to a gunshot wound to the head. His death has been officially classified as a homicide.

Henderson Police reported that Brandon was a passenger in a vehicle involved in a road rage confrontation on the 215 Beltway on Friday morning. Investigators suspect that one vehicle attempted to overtake the other on the shoulder, leading the drivers to lower their windows and exchange verbal remarks.
One of the drivers, identified as 22-year-old Tyler Matthew Johns, allegedly brandished a firearm and discharged a round into the other vehicle, striking Brandon in the backseat. Subsequently, the driver of the other vehicle collided with Johns’ car, causing both vehicles to halt. A passerby flagged down a Las Vegas police officer, who subsequently detained the suspect.
Brandon was transported to UMC, where he ultimately passed away due to his injuries. Johns made an appearance in Henderson Justice Court on Saturday, where he was ordered to be held without bail until a future custody hearing. He is currently facing a charge of open murder.
